Every. Day.
Thought-provoking art. I value powerful art, no matter difficulty to see. I value everyone’s art, despite sometimes disturbing nature once you become understanding from the other side. No being has right to take life from another for self, enslave for self. Have we not learned this yet. Wherever our egos have learned this, it will never be okay. We remove ourselves from the sight, we look other way. We tell self we take care of pets - animal we deem worthy. We take beautiful photograph of beings, though mocking their destiny. No reverence. But we are good in our hearts, yes. Some would say that is exploitation. We say we care about environment, I do not know if people understand when say they care about environment. Over 80 billion animals are bred and killed annually for human. Over 7 billion die from crop harvesting annually for humans. The process is killing not only innocent, but also you, through resources taken, conditions - the horrific conditions play large part in environment, the air we breathe globally, you breathe.
We say our God says it’s okay. I am an artist. You may be an artist. God is a magnificent artist, if one believes in God. Have you’ve seen toucan, its vibrant colors. We are elite in that we learn to build bridges, roads. Beavers have been building dams for over 7 million years, long before us, while swimming. Monkeys developed government hierarchy long before us. Elephants know where their loved ones died, and will mourn in their passing through passage. Pigs know when they, their kin are to be slaughtered - neurons light up, just as ours do when cringing at horrific event. And a cow only wants hugs, and will cuddle with you just to feel your warmth. Birds can mate for life. Sound like they are just like us. Sentient. If we give our art to another as God gave to us, told them to cherish, protect and they destroy, I think you and I would be devastated. Emptied. We can be better. We are human after all.
I challenge you to think a thought - you are digesting trauma they experienced. Now that trauma is inside of you.
Talk of environment, transportation strain of vegan options. No bigger strain on environment than slaughtering animals.
Transportation of self, in plane often for travel to beautiful places to photograph beautiful things that have been photographed and shared many times before.
Inspired by artist Jo Fredricks.
Vegan for animals.
