Part 1: Between buildings and boutiques.

Between buildings and boutiques, concrete under my feet. Holding hands, the shadows ask, are you sure. I am wondering is your heart racing a lot. Closer to a forbidden door. Diagonal, black lines from the sharp angles and walls, cross over me. Your grip tightening around my hand, tighter than before. Your pace faster, amor.

Are these buildings taller now, or,
You making me smaller now.
Close you are,
Amor.

This is when I feel full and empty, together at the same time. Sinking, drowning, floating and they all rhyme, in a cadence matching my pulse to your footsteps. You deeper within my most colorful thoughts, and I am losing the remembering of people around. No more blue sky, yellow sun. Charcoal is prominent around. The noise of traffic is distant, your height and cologne obscuring the scene, scents and motion around. I’m dizzy for you now.

I wish for you and your flesh many times, amor.
In the dark,
To walk through a corridor towards.

“I won’t let you go this time, ma.”
He says as the buildings grow,
Taller. More.
And you are more.

And he continuing,
“You’re lucky I don’t,
Right here,
Right now, ma.”
Your hand on the edge between,
Air and my skin.
You closer than the air on my skin.

And in his broken words,
“Do you think I care if people around?”
And he opens the door,
“After you, amor.”

Between buildings and boutiques.
